McKinney is really two cities, and hail treats them differently.

East of US 75, the historic district around the square has narrow streets, alley parking and some of the oldest tree cover in Collin County. Cars there are often parked on the street or under a canopy that is more liability than shelter: a storm strong enough to drop hail is usually strong enough to drop limbs, and we see roof and hood damage mixed with branch strikes.

The blocks around Louisiana, Kentucky and Virginia Street are tight, and some of the older properties have no driveway at all. Out in Stonebridge Ranch and Craig Ranch it is simple driveway work, and the same at the office parks along Alma and Collin McKinney Parkway. Inspections take twenty to thirty minutes and you are not required to be present for them.

Collection works the same way: the vehicle goes from wherever it lives and the rental takes its place, so nobody in the household spends an evening driving. That matters more in McKinney than in the closer-in suburbs, simply because of the distances involved.
