McKinney hail damage inspected at your curb and repaired for you.
A photo, a yes, and the keys. We come to the historic streets off the square, out to Craig Ranch or anywhere along 380, and take the claim and the repair off your hands.
Two McKinneys, two hail problems
McKinney is really two cities, and hail treats them differently.
East of US 75, the historic district around the square has narrow streets, alley parking and some of the oldest tree cover in Collin County. Cars there are often parked on the street or under a canopy that is more liability than shelter: a storm strong enough to drop hail is usually strong enough to drop limbs, and we see roof and hood damage mixed with branch strikes.
West of the highway it is the opposite. Craig Ranch, Stonebridge Ranch and the developments filling in along Custer Road and Virginia Parkway are open, exposed and young, with driveways full and garages busy. Those cars take clean, uniform hail across every horizontal panel.
The 380 corridor sits in the middle of it, and the commercial lots along it hold a lot of vehicles through the working day. McKinney is also far enough north that it catches cells coming down from Grayson County before the rest of the Metroplex sees them.
We come to you anywhere in McKinney
Downtown McKinney needs a bit of planning, and we do the planning.
The blocks around Louisiana, Kentucky and Virginia Street are tight, and some of the older properties have no driveway at all. We work from the alley or from the street with the car in place, and if a proper light board pass is not possible where the vehicle sits, we will move it a short distance rather than ask you to book anything.
Out in Stonebridge Ranch and Craig Ranch it is simple driveway work, and the same at the office parks along Alma and Collin McKinney Parkway. Inspections take twenty to thirty minutes and you are not required to be present for them.
Collection works the same way: the vehicle goes from wherever it lives and the rental takes its place, so nobody in the household spends an evening driving. That matters more in McKinney than in the closer-in suburbs, simply because of the distances involved.
Older paint gets a careful hail repair
McKinney has a lot of well-kept older vehicles, and older paint changes the repair conversation.
Paintless dent repair depends on the finish being sound enough to move the metal beneath it. On a car with original paint from twenty years ago, or with previous bodywork on a panel, that has to be assessed rather than assumed. We tell you before anything is filed if we think a panel is likely to need paint.
The claim itself runs the normal way. Hail is generally a comprehensive matter and your carrier decides what it approves. We work directly with them, document properly, file with the storm date, chase the estimate and handle any supplement when trim comes off and hidden damage appears.
If the vehicle does not qualify for the work, you hear that at the driveway rather than after the file is open. Repairs are performed by our vetted Dallas–Fort Worth repair partner, who returns the car detailed inside and out, with a full tank and their lifetime warranty for as long as you own it.
If your car doesn't qualify, we'll tell you first.
Not every vehicle is a fit. Coverage, model year and the extent of the damage all matter, and we would rather tell you that on the first call than after you have spent time on it. The inspection is free and there is no obligation either way.
