It hailed. What to do about the damage this week.
The first few days after a storm decide how easy the rest of it is. What to look at, how to document it, and how to find out where you stand without paying for anything.
What to do in the first few days
None of this costs anything, and none of it commits you to anything.
Check the car in the right light
Wait for flat morning or late afternoon light and look along the roof, hood and trunk from a low angle. Hail dents are shallow and vanish under midday sun. Do not judge by a walk-past in a driveway at noon.
Photograph before anything else
Wide shots of the whole vehicle, then close shots of individual dents with something for scale, then the odometer and VIN plate. Include glass, mirrors and lamps. Note the date the storm hit.
Check whether the vehicle qualifies
The work needs full coverage insurance, a vehicle typically from 2015 or newer, and an inspection confirming the damage and that repair makes sense. Those three things are worth establishing before anything else happens.
Get a free estimate before you decide
Ask for a free online estimate, uploading photos if you have them, then have someone look at the panels in person. Both are free, and neither commits you to filing anything.

Why hail claims move faster when you start early
A single cell can put hail across half the Metroplex in an hour, and everybody files in the same week.
Adjuster calendars fill fast after a large storm, and the drivers who documented their vehicles properly in the first few days tend to move sooner. Waiting also makes it harder to tie the damage to a specific date, which is one of the first things a carrier checks.
If you would rather not deal with any of it, ask for a free estimate and we will come and look at the car where it already sits, anywhere in Dallas–Fort Worth. The photo estimate and the inspection are both free, and the repair is performed by our vetted repair partner.
If your car doesn't qualify, we'll tell you first.
Not every vehicle is a fit. Coverage, model year and the extent of the damage all matter, and we would rather tell you that on the first call than after you have spent time on it. The inspection is free and there is no obligation either way.
